  Heh. As I once had a multi-boot setup of Windows, OS/2 and linux on a 486, &lt;br&gt; I was more stunned. than frightened, although sheer, unadulterated panic &lt;br&gt; was in there somewhere (or maybe not). &lt;br&gt; I started out with Linux v0.91 and had to download half the distro one &lt;br&gt; month and the other half next month since my ISP had a 5MB a month limit.

I started using Linux for mission-critical tasks &lt;br&gt; around the beginning of 2000, so it&#39;s probably been slightly over one &lt;br&gt; decade. Does that count? Before that, I used OS/2 - which is known to be &lt;br&gt; even simpler. &lt;br&gt; Sorry if I frightened you.

Having been a Linux user for &lt;br&gt; decades (with a caged Windows98 running under VMware for special needs), I &lt;br&gt; had passively gone along with the propaganda spread by Linux afficionados &lt;br&gt; that Windows was an operating system for the technically challenged. &lt;br&gt; But if just mucking about with the Task Bar can generate weeks of discussion
