Discuss the Google Maps API, which lets developers embed Google Maps in their own web pages with JavaScript. If you'd like to troubleshoot your development of the API, please remember the following: - Post a link, not a code snippet so that others can see your code in its proper context. - Search the Group, chances are someone else has had the same issue. - Make use of published documentation at http://www.google.com/apis/maps/documentation/

 Hi guys..
my production site is getting a weird behaviour today. It's putting
the user position far away from reality.
My site operates mostly in Brazil, but my users are being redirected
mostly to China and some places in Europe.
My site address is: [link]
The code is this simple:
if(google.loader.ClientLocatio n)

 The input field works for me using IE8, but as ProbablyMike indicated
you need some sort of explanation on usage as it is not intuitive.

 A common approach is clustering. This can be client-side, which
leaves the overhead of getting all the data to the client. Or it can
be server-side.

 I'm trying to load ~1000 placemarks from a mySQL database and it is
very slow.
Can anyone suggest an easy way to load, maybe half of them when the
map is zoomed out beyond a certain scale, and then load the rest when
zoomed in?
Currently I'm using the instructions from this tutorial (http://
code.google.com/apis/maps/arti cles/phpsqlajax.html).

 It was some inherited code that the existing table was dropped and all
data was re-imported. I have since taken steps to redesign the import
and save the Lat/Lng, but once again it was caught too late.
Any ideas on what can be done to get the website off of being
blacklisted?

 hi,
i have a question regarding the "tilesloaded" event. Does this event
also work with
own custom tiles added to the map through the GTileLayerOverlay?
I use the following code to add own custom tiles to the map, but it
seems that the "tilesloaded" event fires before all custom tiles are
loaded.
var tilelayer = new GTileLayer(new GCopyrightCollection(''));

 I think you start with the documentation.
[link]
You need to write web pages which include Javascript to control the
map.
